About
If you ask my Dad, he would say I was born with a camera hanging around my neck. My mom would attest, however, that I did not photograph my own birth. All kidding aside, I believe I got my first camera at the same time I got my first Timex wrist watch - sometime in the 2nd grade. I would have filmed the world if it wasn’t for the cost of film and development.
I became a serious photographer when I bought a camera that was “way over my head”, which forced me to attend our community college to learn how to use it. I bought that camera to photograph the birth of our first child. Blessed with six kids and several cameras later, I am still passionate about photography.
My fourth child Rachel shares my passion for photography, and also attends the same community college I did nearly 30 years ago. Rachel works with me in our studio and on location at weddings, etc.
We are located in Casco, Michigan- which is a farming community nestled between New Baltimore and Richmond - a short distance off of 1-94. We are surrounded by countless acres of farmland and our home / studio was built in the shadow of 100 year old oak trees. We offer all forms of portrait work in our studio, outdoors in fields of grain or in swings that hang from our massive oak trees.
We love our business and our customers say we make them feel “very comfortable and relaxed during the entire photography process.”
We look forward to working with you and making you feel the same.
